WhatsApp is used daily by millions of people in India and the platform gives people more reason to use the messaging app. The Meta-owned messaging app now lets you upload important ID documents such as PAN card, driver’s license, and even Class X or XII grade sheets that you may have uploaded to the service DigiLocker.
Basically, WhatsApp now has a MyGov chatbot service that will allow WhatsApp users to retrieve these documents on their phone without going to the DigiLocker app or website. The chatbot can also help people create a new DigiLocker account if needed. “Offering the Digilocker services on the MyGov Helpdesk is a natural progression and step towards providing citizens with easy access to essential services through WhatsApp’s simple and accessible platform,” said Abhishek Singh, CEO of the MyGov service. .
