Driving lesson

Gizelle Bryant on daughter Grace’s learner’s license, driving: RHOP recap

On the September 19 episode of The Real Housewives of the Potomac, Gizelle Bryant faced a moment she now describes as “so traumatic.” This moment? When she took her daughter, Grace, to a parking lot to teach her to drive.

In The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 6 After Show video, above, Gizelle reflects on this very real parenting experience and, believe us, she has a lot of feelings about it. “I’m not cut out for this kind of work,” she joked. “I’m not.”

As seen in the episode, Gizelle talked about her daughter’s road to getting her driver’s license. “Thank you, Jesus. The girl passed the pupil’s test [permit driving test]. The fifth time is the charm, okay?” she laughed. Grace’s response? “Stop.”

From there, her mother asked Grace if she planned to drive to meet young men once she got her license. “No, they’ll join me,” Grace told her mother, who gave her a high five.

Gizelle also shared a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to capture that driving lesson for ORP in the After the show. “While Grace is driving, we obviously have cameramen, we have audiomans making sure they can see everything and hear everything. So Grace almost ran them over, OK,” Gizelle explained about her daughter’s skills during driving lesson. “So I feel like we needed cameramen on our cameramen so you all could see Grace almost kill about three of them, okay?”
