A driving instructor has been flagged down by police after being caught speeding.
Merseyside police stopped the car after spotting it speeding more than 10mph over the limit in Liverpool. The car was seen speeding down Scotland Road, around 10.35am on Friday June 10.
Officers said the incident was “embarrassing” and they hoped the instructor would not teach their students to speed up. The driver was reportedly late for a driving lesson when they were arrested.

A photograph of the police speedometer was shared by the officer who stopped the driver. The reading on the screen showed that the driver was traveling at a speed greater than 43 mph. The speed for this route is 30 mph.
In a post shared on Twitter, Merseyside Police Roads Unit said: “Driver reported traveling at excessive speed on Scotland Road. Slightly embarrassing that this is an instructors vehicle driving in livery late for a lesson. I hope they don’t teach their students to speed.”
