BEIJING–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Promoting tangible results for empowering women and driving innovation, the BRICS Women Innovation Contest 2022 is now open to all businesswomen from BRICS countries. Register now and receive a recommendation from DHgate.
The competition aims to activate and unleash women’s innovation and creativity in green development, technological innovation, cultural creativity, health, education and training, finance, cross-border e-commerce and other areas. Organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), with Chinese chapter members of DHgate and BRICS WBA including China Investment Corporation, GREE sponsorship, BRICS WBA Brazil , Russia, India and South Africa Co-sponsoring chapters, the competition is organized by Deloitte and will focus on recognizing women who are dedicated to promoting social welfare and economic development in different fields. The competition also aims to promote the exchange of best practices and innovative initiatives led by women and to advance cooperation among businesswomen from BRICS countries.
Inspired by the concept of putting people first, the BRICS Women Innovation Contest was first proposed at the BRICS Summit in November 2020 by the Chinese Head of State and received broad support from all BRICS leaders. All businesswomen from BRICS countries eligible to apply
The competition invites all businesswomen from BRICS countries, including those from SMEs and start-ups, to participate in the assessment. Applicants with outstanding performance in the following areas are more likely to succeed in the Competition.
Nationality and personality: A citizen of one of the BRICS countries with exceptional qualities, including diligence, enthusiasm, tenacity and creativity.
Social Responsibility: Attaches importance to social responsibility, sets global social influence as a development goal and drives his team’s commitment to a common vision.
Unique technology and business model: involved in a unique technology and business model.
Industry and Market Prospects: Has forward-looking strategic thinking and clear goals, continuously invests in talent development, and has promising market prospects within the industry.
Prizes and awards in recognition of innovation and contribution
The competition will offer the Mulan Award to 15 winners (3 from each country). In addition, a Special Contribution Award will be presented to 5 nominees (1 from each country) in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and their efforts to build a global community of health for all.
In addition to a cash bonus of USD 3,000 for each winner, all winners will be invited to travel to China (ALL EXPENSES COVERED) for networking and training when the COVID-19 situation improves and restrictions will be relaxed.
The competition will last three months, from March to May 2022, in three stages: online registration, evaluation and the award ceremony. The award ceremony will take place in Beijing at the end of May.
